Ckan is running slow and wont download mods

 · I am using Ubuntu x64, i have gotten ckan and it opens no problem, its pointed to my game directory. It sees mods i have installed manually. When i select a mod and press Apply Changes, it goes to installation screen, but then just chugs away for hours. I originally tried with a big mod, Astronomers visual pack, so i tried just with a simple. No thxs it was neither For some reason ckan wasn't installing ANY MODS compatible or not check box or not, also the cache helped but ckan fixed itself when reinstalled ckan and some mods and magic, Mods (EVEN COMPATIBLE) are installing even some of the non compatible stuff, if i can next time ill just remove it as the solutions did nothing STEPS I DID TO FIX; 1: Remove Ckan 2: remove Oldest. CKAN is downloading stuff extremely slowly. Tonight I reset my PC and as such I'm reinstalling my games/mods, etc. Got KSP installed in under a minute earlier tonight and started to go through CKAN to pick out some mods. Decided to download them in batches as last time I tried to download heaps of mods at once it wouldn't work. That said, a few mods can too, especially no culling mods, because culling exists for a good reason, and totally disabling it isn't a good idea on long term. If game mods do cause lag and freezing, sort out your mods to determine what are the ones causing the issue, because most mods won't do that as long as they're up-to-date. First, uninstall all mods installed through CKAN. This may mess up saves which have mod dependencies, so keep this in mind. Go to your KSP directory and delete the CKAN folder contained within. This should wipe CKAN's download cache, settings and leave nothing except bltadwin.ru on your computer, which you can now delete without problems.
